I see the value of innovation and understand that the only way to innovate is through a deep understanding of users and their needs (rather than through the impositions of ideas or designs). I have the skills to conduct contextual research, to draw insights, discover opportunities and develop strategies for better products, services or business ideas. I also have the ability to facilitate this process of creative thinking for others, to help them better understand their roles, capacities and creative contribution to complex processes.
Leveraging this ability I have been able to work on capability building in large organizations (such as Delta Air Lines and The Coca-Cola Company). This has included coaching teams on through an integrated Agile and Design Thinking process for the development of innovative strategic solutions.
I am a researcher, strategist and designer with an MFA in Design Management from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I am also an Architect in Training with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico and three years of experience in a local design-build firm.
